Of househunting and perspiration
Feb. 1st, 2004 11:38 amI'm meeeeeeltinnnnng!
If it gets any hotter and more humid here, I'm going to keel over. Can't sleep due to the heat. I'm sitting here in my underwear with the fan on me at point blank range. Yesterday we had torrential downpours and a kick-ass thunderstorm, but it did nothing to clear the mugginess.
During said thunderstorm, my sister and I were house-hunting (for her) and found the cutest little character cottage. You can take a virtual tour of it here.
The Cottage
She's put in an offer. Hell, I would have bought it for myself, if I'd been in the market. It's absolutely gorgeous, and has the loveliest little private front yard. In Auckland, it's getting increasingly hard to buy a house that doesn't have the neighbour's windows pressed right up against your own. This one has almost total privacy, and no possibility of anything being built any closer. Nice street, too. The negotiations are going on as we speak. I hope she gets it.
