Good Grief

I can't believe some woman is going to sue over being exposed to Janet Jackson's boob. It's a breast, lady! Just skin and flesh. Like a kneecap. Or a shoulder. For God's sake, don't watch the National Geographic channel. You'll be scarred for life. If Janet Jackson's breast - half obscured by a Borg implant (LOL [livejournal.com profile] verucawerewolf!) - is the most traumatic thing this person has ever seen, then I want her life!

In New Zealand news, two Australian climbers have been rescued off of Mt Avalanche. MT AVALANCHE, guys. What did you expect?

Lastly, in sport, well done to the young and inexperienced New Zealand rugby 7's team, who won the Wellington 7's tournament yesterday, beating old foes Fiji by 33-15. Best moment was at half-time, when the PA was blaring The Exponents' "Why Does Love Do This To Me?" (great drinking song that it is), and when they turned it off to start the 2nd half, all 50,000 people in the stadium kept right on singing, it sounded awesome! If you've never seen a 7's tournament, it's really more of a festival. Two days, about 40 games of 7-aside rugby (each of which lasts 15 minutes), and the audience comes along dressed as nuns, schoolgirls, police, potatoes, aliens, santas, etc, and basically goes bananas for the whole thing. As legendary 7's player Eric Rush once said, "if you get bored, you can always watch the rugby..." Good stuff, boys.
