Today's fanfic author tribute...

juliefortune. Fanfic so good it got published (official SG1 novel "Sacrifice Moon").
Julie writes in more fandoms than I've had hot dinners, and each one of them is spot-on. But most of all I love her Stargate fic. In it we get the emotional depth that a 45 minute sci-fi show never quite has the time to go into onscreen; the real angst and feeling that we know is in the characters, if only they had the time to express it. Her Jack-voice is so good I could swear it was really Jack O'Neill writing the stories. Nobody whumps Daniel better. Or makes him sexier.
Plus, she's the evil bee-arch who got me addicted to Stargate in the first place. IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT, WOMAN! And I lurve you for it *g*
