General stuff
Aug. 22nd, 2005 08:55 amWe finally got to see the CSI final episode here in NZ last night. And all I can say is Gnyaaaaaah! George Eades did a fantastic job. Hell, they all did.
My new toy arrives this week. I finally invested in a DVD burner, since those 350mb eps of SG1 are chewing through my hard-drive space. It was so cheap, too! And external. And a Sony. And it has firewire connection capabilities for super-speed. Writes up to 16x, dual layer capable. Is it here yet? What about now?
Also due this week are my t-shirts. I got one of those Flying Spaghetti Monster "Noodly Appendage" ones (because they cracked my shit up) and also one of
psychofilly's cool "Follow Your Slayer" shirts.
Over the weekend I put 32 articles of clothing on TradeMe (that's the Kiwi version of Ebay). Thought I may as well get some money for them. Otherwise they'll go to charity.
Also played with my new Sony Vegas Movie Studio which I got cheap as an upgrade because I had the previous version - Screenblast. It has some really cool new effects. I'm particularly enamoured with the one that makes it look like you're watching the clip on a dodgy old tv with a bad signal.
And now, a request. Anybody know where I can find a) some cool 80's Karaoke tracks for download b) the Jeffrey Gaines version of Walter Egan's "Magnet & Steel" - it was on the soundtrack for The Night We Never Met but d'ya think I can find it anywhere?
