No. My mother picked Claire because it couldn't be shortened.

We have a boy's name picked - something my husband thought of that we liked.

Duncan. I'm glad I was a girl.
4. If you could re-name yourself what name would you pick and why?
After 35 years, what would be the point?

People often leave out the i.

Mum called me Stumble Bum when I was a baby, because my legs were so short that my nappies came down past my knees and tripped me up. Most people call me Claire Bear.
