Last night I got carded buying beer at the supermarket.

This amuses me no end. Not just because I am DOUBLE the legal drinking age, but the beer was 0.5% alcohol content. That's the same as fresh-squeezed orange juice.

Hee! Isn't that the best? My mom was all thrilled 'cause a woman asked Linds if she was her aunt, my sister, and was all surprised (and flustered) that she was Linds's grandmother. my mom. So either my mom looks young or I look old :facepalm: and lol.

Lucky bugger. I never get asked for ID any more. And, hey, can you guys buy booze at the supermarket over there? We still can't do that here.

Yeah, they can sell beer and wine at most supermarkets (except in the odd "dry area" where public licensing trusts have the corner on the grog market) - have been able to for many years now. Spirits, fortified wines, liquers etc still have to be bought from bottle stores. I'm currently trying to find somewhere nearby that sells no-alcohol wine. I miss my Sav Blanc!

Sprog is going great guns. He may be as tall as me by the time he is born ;o) The real verdict will come in at around 34 weeks - apparently genetic factors affecting size really kick in between weeks 28-40. If he's looking large around 34 weeks I'll probably get another ultrasound to determine if he can fit out between my 14-year-old-boy sized hips. I might get brave and post a belly photo soon.

I get carded all the time, but I think in Georgia they have to card everyone.

Here the drinking age is 18, but they're supposed to check if you look 25 or younger.
