I made this one for the lovely and patient! starlet2367 who first requested it back in June of 2005. *blush* It was started a few times, but when it popped up on her Time Turner Secret Santa list this year, I decided to knuckle down and get on with it.

It's Spike! And Buffy! And John Cougar Mellencamp! With gratuitous overuse of flashies and zoom! Files are in Windows Media. Right click and save to your hard drive, please.

I really, really enjoyed that, and I'm not a big fan of Spike/Buffy ;) The added motion was just gorgeous.

Thank you! I'm not, either, and I was worried it would show, but once I got going I really started to feel it. Funny how vidding a fandom can make you appreciate it in ways you never did when you watched it.

You can thank obsessive24 and her excellent tutelage for the added motion. She beat that into me during my last vid ;o)

Awesome! I loved the zooms and they seemed appropriate and not overused at all. My favorite part was the flashies section - actually from there until the end. Such a violent and sexy relationship and those clips really showed it. Fantastic!!

Thanks, hun. It always feels like I'm overdoing it at the time, but better that than too subtle, I say. *g* The flashies section was the very first bit I edited, and that part was per Kel's request. She described how she wanted it done, so the credit goes to her. I never really appreciated the Spuffy relationship until now. Gawd, they were hot together, in a nasty way.

You captured the thing I loved about Spike and Buffy's ship, which is their honesty and tenderness. I thought the wild sex would be the center of this vid, but it surprised me when their quieter moments were its heart. I just love that. The sex and fighting are darn hot, too. :)

LOL! That crossed my mind the other day, actually. *g*

I'm *so* glad you liked it. Like I said in my email, I ended up not using a lot of the wild sex, because for me it was all about Spike wanting Buffy in an unhealthy way, and once he got the sex, well he'd kind of stopped knocking and gone through the door! I wanted to keep that stalkery vibe going as long as I could.

:snorfle: Well, although it'll have to keep crossing your mind for awhile longer, my goal this year is to post the G/C and your story, "Stay." It's in a tangle on my hard drive right now, and will probably need some tearing down and building back up. But I'll get it out there...sometime. ;)

And you did! There were some really unhealthy parts to that relationship, but when a slayer and a vamp get together, that would make sense. Their lives, and their sexuality, would be permeated with violence. The thing I like about these two is that they actually treated each other rather decently, just by being who they were. No put-ons (like Buffy/Riley or Spike/Harm).

You did such a fantastic job with this vid! Lots of vids concentrate on the hot sex between the two (not that I mind, it's a big part of the appeal) but you concentrated on the tenderness and the attraction between them as well - the unhealthy and the poignant parts of their relationship. I loved it. I didn't think the flashes and zooms were overdoing it at all, I thought they did a lot to zero in on those 'little' moments that sometimes gets lost in the bigger picture of their dysfunction - like the Crypt Door Scene and the hand holding between them.

No. The doctor who took it out assured me that he told the lab to put hurry up with the result (probably because he didn't want me spinning out of control again with "What ifs") but As of Friday, I hadn't heard anything.

So yes, we will be calling tomorrow (Monday).
