You know when you buy something that fixes a problem you've had for ages and ages, or something that you're just amazed does what it says it does? Well I've got one of each.

For a start, I've always had dry hands. I'm a pretty thorough hand-washer. Not in an OCD way, but I'm pretty careful about it. And being in aircon most days made it worse. The skin between my fingers was all flaky and dry. Then I had a prem baby. When he was in hospital I had to wash my hands to touch him, and every time I changed a diaper. Then he got home and it was also every time I prepared food or formula. Plus scrubbing the bottles... my knuckles cracked and bled. I put hand cream on but it just washed right off again half an hour later. Then Mum bought me Body Shop Hemp Hand Protector. OMFG it's brilliant. I put it on once a day, before bed, and within a week, all the dry skin and cracked knuckles went away. ALL OF IT. I just can't believe how amazing this stuff is. So, if you have dry hands, go buy it. It's awesome.

Secondly, I bought myself a deodorant stone. You know, the type made of salt crystals that you wet and apply. I was totally sceptical of its effectiveness, but holy cow, it really works. Better than my Dove deodorant cream. It works for longer than 24 hours, even in really sweaty weather. And no white marks on my clothes.

So, there you go. I shall stop sounding like an infomercial now.
