1) Appeared on NZ kid's TV show "What Now?" as a Whacky Challenge participant at age 13.  (I was away on holiday when they phoned to invite me on, and my mother accepted on my behalf, unaware that I had previously avowed I would never do such a thing.)

2) Removed waxy penis plugs from a pair of recently neutered male rats. *gag*

3) Got married at the local zoo.  (The reception featured male guests being driven around the zoo in the security guard's ute, and two of them being attacked by a goat in the petting zoo.)

4) Had an in-depth discussion about allergies with Simon Le Bon.

5) Gave Chris Judge of Stargate SG-1 a packet of Jaffas.  They're orange-flavoured-candy covered chocolate balls.

Um, the waxy penis plugs...did the rats come by them naturally or is that something a vet inserts?

They develop when a male rat can't wash his willy properly - like after neuter surgery. They get a wax build-up in there that can stop them peeing and can potentially be fatal if not seen to. It was just my bad luck that they both got them on the same morning. I was green enough after removing the first one!

Yes, he was amused by the Jaffas :o) He said "ooh, they're a mouthful of chocolate orange goodness!" and I said "you already know them?" and he said "no, it's written on the packet." And I slid under the table in embarrassment and he laughed a lot.
