Vid plagiarism?

Not sure if I am just being over-sensitive about this one...

There's my vid from November 2005, The Green-Eyed Monster, and then there's this, uploaded to YouTube in April this year. 

Both vids are about Buffy feeling cheated on by Angel when he moves to LA, both are set to You Oughta Know by Alanis Morisette.  The premise is almost identical, and the blub similar (although they've added one extra twist to the plot).  On one hand, the YouTube vid has much fewer clips, and quite a lot of different material to mine, but some of the footage used is the same stuff in exactly the same place.  In a couple of sections I could swear my own edits have been used, because the footage is much brighter than their other clips, (I always brighten the clips in my vids) and those clips look like they are lesser quality than the darker stuff.  But my watermark isn't there so maybe I'm imagining it.

What do y'all think?  Has my idea been ripped off?  Or just a big coincidence?

Um, no, I don't think that's a coinky dink. IMO, they have too much in common. I'm thinking this person really despised some of the women you had Angel with and wanted it to be strictly Angel/Darla so she redid it to her tastes. You can be proud of the fact that (a) you did it first and (b) you did it a helluva lot better. Hers is lame and yours is amazing. :)

Whether it's coincidence or not, it's poor vidding etiquette to re-use a previously vidded song in the same fandom. I always Google extensively before I start. I had to throw out a partially completed Angel vid to The Noose because someone beat me to the punch.
