In which I go mad and get very wet

littleheavenWell, I went gardening crazy yesterday. It was pouring with rain. Thunder. Lightning. My sister and I stood in my kitchen bemoaning the fact that we'd positioned all the trees and just needed to plant them. So we did. In a torrential downpour. It was quite a lot of fun, actually, once the getting wet part was complete. The being wet part wasn't bad. And we didn't have to water the trees in afterwards.
Speaking of weather, we've had two really cool thunderstorms in the last two days, and last night 100km winds took down trees and cut power. I was worried our tv satellite dish was going to go flying, not to mention the poor little trees, which I'll be staking today, if the rain stops!
Commiserations to the NZ Warriors, who lost 20-28 to Penrith last night in the semi final. They did very well, and I am proud of them for getting that far. They have gone from wooden spooners to making the finals three years in a row. Yay, boys!
And now, seeing as there are still gale-force winds tearing through my garden, I will take a few hours out from the gardening to do my quarterly curry cook-up. Three hours worth of preparation, cooking and cooling lasts me for 12-16 weeks of Monday night dinners :o)
