I'm participating in Vividcon this year! *happy dance*  It's in one of the themed shows.  Not sure how much I am supposed to say about it, so we'll leave it at that :o)

In short person news... you know you've spoiled your kid when you arrive home from doing a spot of shopping and he points at your bag and says, "presents?"  On the bright side, now he has the concept of gifts down, Christmas should be a blast this year.

In sick hubby news... chemo round 2 starts on Thursday.  Round 1 wasn't too terrible overall, bar the first couple of days, which were BAAAD.  Hoping to address the BAAAD with different anti-emetics this time.

I seem to have some sort of strange stomach fluey thing.  Been feeling sick on and off since Friday.  Hope I can kick it before I need to be nursemaid on Thursday.  Or preferably, before tonight's Sunday roast.

Regarding the bag that must be presents... My dog does the same thing with plastic bags. If I pick one up, we must be going for a walk. Not sure if she makes the connection between the bag and her poo, but she knows that I always get a bag before we go for a walk. :)

Hehe, yes, toddlers and dogs can be quite the same. Easily bribed with treats and they get quite good at object association :o) I suspect most dogs are better behaved than my toddler, though ;o)

How would you being sick affect hubby after chemo? I mean is hubby's immune system way suppressed and will you have to stay away from him if you have the flu? *fingers crossed it's just a tiny bug*

The doc said not to be too worried about run-of-the-mill colds and flus. He's more at risk from the bacteria in his own gut. But I'm spraying everything with disinfectant spray anyway. It might just be the end of this jolly cold I've had for 2 weeks. *fingers crossed* I can't take another winter of back-to-back viruses like last year.

As for the expectation of pressies, my cat Reg was the same way. Food was his thing and we'd always squirrel away a treat for him. He'd come meet us and wait for the bags to be held down so he could sniff them. *g* It was fun. :)
