LOL, Griffin totally fibbed to my sister last night. He's taken to climbing out of bed and going to sleep on the floor. She caught him trying to fall asleep in the middle of his room last night, complete with pillow, blanket, books and soft toys. As soon as he saw her he said "Auntie, I fell out of bed!" It was so blatantly not true, we were both in fits of giggles about it.

Hee! Gotta love a kid who prefers the nice, safe, undeniably monster-free ground.

ROFL. I'm just shocked he knows how to tell little lies at his age. There's no way he could fall out of his bed - it's in a corner and the side that's not against the wall has a safety barrier on it. He has to crawl to the end and deliberately clamber out.

Lacey lied through her teeth from the time she could talk, lololol. I think maybe I remember being shocked- good thing you've memorialized it here- you'll have to print out your LJ for his scrapbook one day :-) Tried being mad at her for it at 5,6,7 years old. Now I just call her bluff and she either laughs or cries depending on whether she really is or not. God, parenting is just... not something you can study for, lol. It certainty keeps one thinking, what with all the strategizing!

Actually, it's much riskier. In your bed, you are safely above the monsters. On the ground, you're on the same level with nothing between you and them with the possible exception of a dust ruffle!

Lol! But you see, you put all your beddy-bye animals on guard and if it does try anyway, you can see it coming and skadadle to the hall, or better yet, the 'rents room :-) On the bed, it can just reach up and grab your wrist or ankle and drag you under :shudders:

:hitsreplayonEnterSandman: or maybe it's Sandeman :hasDarkAngelflashback:

Ah... Of course, the safety ring of stuffed animals. And it does avoid the dangerous leap to the bed from the middle of the room to avoid ankle grabbing. That's a plus!

He's obviously a lot sneakier than I gave him credit for. Let's hope all his future lies are as easy to see through *g*

Well, he's a quick thinker. That's a good thing, anyway ;)
