Ah, credit, where would we be without it.

Gone are the days where you had to go, cap in hand, to your local bank and grovel for more money. I applied on my bank's website for a whopping big increase to my credit card limit (which is now in 5-figures!) and within 24 hours they had approved it. Of course, the fact I have worked for said bank for 15 years, and have a big mortgage with them probably helps. Yay, now we can fix the car :0) Getting a bit sick of being the taxi already.

And on the exciting and strange front, a UFO was spotted over Auckland this morning. About 7am - the time my hubby was walking to the bus stop - must ask him if he saw it. The aliens are probably trying to work out where the damn oil from hubby's car went, like the rest of us...

This year seems to have thrown "challenges" into groups for me. They say the universe never sends you anything that you can't handle. In January I lost three pets and two grandparents - four out of the five on four consecutive days. That sucked.

This morning, on the way to work, steam started billowing from the front of my car. MY CAR. The last functioning piece of transport we have left. I checked the coolant reservoir - dry. Luckily the thing didn't overheat - there was still coolant in the radiator. So this afternoon I made the second emergency dash this week to the mechanic, and he hurriedly replaced my cracked bypass hose. Hopefully that has rectified the problem. All will be revealed when I check the water tomorrow before and after I drive to work!

Waaaaah. I want a new car!

Oh well, tomorrow (Friday the 13th - woooooooo), all the managers are away from work. I feel some gratuitous 80's music coming on, and possibly a communal pizza. Mmmmmm, pizza :0)
