Well, I survived the colonoscopy. The worst part was yesterday, where I had to drink only fluids and take stuff to "flush me out". Made me puke, too. Out my nose! I'm permanently traumatised now, and there's half a litre of apple juice in the fridge I don't think I'll ever be able to face again.
The most painful part of the procedure itself was when the anaesthetic went in the back of my hand. I remember saying "Ow, that really hurts. Ow! Oh, it's working... zzzzzzzz," and then I was waking up, giggling like a loony and saying "I'm still alive." How embarassing.
Good news is they didn't find any Chron's, colitis or cancer. Bad news is that means the search continues on what's making me feel bad. I still think it's a dodgy appendix. So onwards to the ultrasound I go. At least that's non-invasive! And, hey, I got to see a photo of the inside of my bowel. Not something you do every day LOL.
Would you believe I read Yahtzee's "The Quality Of Mercy" for the very first time today? Thoroughly enjoyed it. I thought I'd read all of her Angel fic, but that one must have slipped through the net.
And now, I'm off to watch a documentary about people who are abnormally tall, a vicarious experience for me, at a massive 5ft 2in!
