For the good of the game...
Nov. 17th, 2003 08:14 amOh God. Okay, this is probably the one and only time I'll ever say this. Go Australia. As much as, being a Kiwi, it's against my religion to support an Australian team - hell, I think it may actually be against the law! - I want Australia to beat England in the Rugby World Cup. After last night's dour, boring game, in which all England's points came from kicks, I can't support any team who plays that brand of rugby. If I wanted to watch a sport in which kicking points was the whole aim of the game, I'd watch soccer. Rugby should be about running and scoring tries and big tackling. At least the Australian's main motivation is to get over the line.
In other events, I have moved my budgies (Linus and Harry) into a bigger cage. After Bart and Chester vacated my metre-tall parrot cage, it's been sitting around empty, and since the budgies were a bit cramped, and their old cage is starting to crack around the base, I thought it time for a move. They're a bit freaked out - still not sure enough to venture down to the floor of the cage - but they've found the food and water. I'm sure they'll soon be enjoying the extra space, which is double what they had before.
Also, I have a proper website! The adorable
queenmab223 made me some beautiful graphics, so I coughed up for a paid geocities site. I like that I can pay montly for it, and that it has software that non-internet-language-speaking people can use. All that I have up is the index page, none of the links work, but it's at www.littleheaven70.com if you want to check out Mab's lovely work. :gropes Mab:
And now, off to work to listen to everyone bitch and moan about the footy, and this afternoon, I'm having an ultrasound on my guts. Won't that be fun :o)
