Rain, rain, rain

It's quite unusual for it to rain for a whole day in Auckland. Being a very thin strip of land, with the Tasman sea on the West Coast and the Pacific Ocean on the East Coast, the weather is very changeable. So colour me surprised that it has now been raining for pretty much three entire days. And guess what the forcast is for today? Thunderstorms. Tomorrow? Thunderstorms. So, here we go again, the great thunderstorm saga, where the met service forecast them and nothing happens. For the purposes of the survey, "thunderstorm" will be a minimum of one visible flash of lightning or one audible rumble of thunder. I'm not asking for much. Count so far: 0.

On the bright side, the dismal weather is perfect inspiration for my car-bonnet-smut story. Which is 2/3 finished. I know, I'm not fast, but I'm a perfectionist, what can I say?

Ooh, I can't wait till I get my sneak peek! I'm just doing some last minute polishing on mine- I know I need more special effects - lightning, thunder, etc., but I don't know where to put them. I don't want to mess up the flow. Hmph.

Why isn't it 5:00 yet? Huh? Why, Claire, why?

Just slip those little special effects in between the action and the dialogue, just a line here and there to set the picture. Have Cordy look at Angel, and his face is illuminated by lightning, making the rain on his face glisten. It would probably hurt his eyes, make him blink.

Mmmmmm, wet Angel.

Because time moves slower at work. This is scientific fact. Except when you have a deadline. Then it goes too fast. :kicks time:

You'll be happy to know the car smut is going well. We have rain and nakedness and a car so far. Now I just have to put them all together :o)
