About THOSE spoilers...
Jan. 29th, 2004 08:23 amI posted this at ST, and I thought I'd put it here too. It's just my opinion, don't hate me for it *g*
I don't believe it until I see it with my own eyes. For a few reasons... Why would Charisma encourage us to watch her character be killed off? She said that if you were a Cordy fan, you would love the episode. I don't buy the "she was duped" scenario at all. Charisma doesn't strike me as someone who would take that, considering she has made it clear she would only come back for a satisfactory storyline for Cordy. And if Joss holds out any hope of luring Charisma back for the last eps of the season, seeing that SMG has ruled it out, he'd be ruining that chance by bold-faced lying to her about the ending of this one. As someone else said, the poster at TWOP seemed to really dislike the Cordy/Angel kiss. They're probably laughing their backsides off right now at all the fuss they've created - having a damn good giggle at our expense.
All of that having been said, if Cordy is killed off, well, it's not like we expected her to come back anyway. It will just give me even more reason to blub like a baby at the end of the ep, which I plan to watch and cry all the way through, because I know it's probably the last time I'll ever see my beloved Cordelia, whether she ends the ep alive or not.
Lastly, if it is correct, and Charisma knows about it, well, going by what she said in her recent interview, then she's happy with the way it all turned out. She wanted us to watch, that was pretty clear. And if she, of all people, was cool with the whole thing, then I'm cool with it. I'd rather see my heroine go out in a blaze of glory than just be forgotten about.
Of course, in the Buffy/Angelverse, death isn't always the career-ender it used to be. Darla died and came back four times (vampire, human, vampire, ghost). So all hope is not lost of seeing Cordelia again. But I get the feeling that Charisma has called it quits, and I will miss Cordy terribly.

Date: 2004-01-28 12:17 pm (UTC)And as you say, sweetie, it IS sad, whatever happens. This is our last look at Cordy. I've been feeling sad about that for weeks. We'll all have to get together for a post-ep blub-fest, huh?
