I'm taking my squishy girl, Maggie, to the vet today to have a tumour removed from her armpit. It's the size of a grape, and has come up very, very fast. I've had rats operated on, without any problems, seven times, but I can't help fearing my luck is going to run out. So please send Maggie good thoughts today, to help her through the operation.

She's home, and she's okay. It turned out not to be so much a tumour as an overgrowth of mammary tissue, full of milk, and quite infected. So she must have been feeling really horrible, poor girl. She's a bit quiet right now, just recuperating and getting over the anaesthetic. I think I'll give her some special treats tonight, to entice her to eat :o)
