Cough, hack...
Jun. 19th, 2003 03:16 pmOh dear, winter colds.
On a scale of one to ten - they suck (to paraphrase one Xander Harris). So I've treated myself to a day off work, and I can feel icky in peace.
Hubby's car is still in the shop. The engine is away being reconditioned at the moment. I'm sick of being the taxi. I've used up two weeks gas in less than a week, so I stole some of his petrol allowance to compensate me for my costs! My little car (Rocky) is now running quite happily with a new water hose replacing the old, leaky one. In a month I'll be able to buy a new car, and hopefully won't have to worry about bits falling off or blowing up for a few years. This means I'll actually have to wash Rocky and clean out all the crap, so that I can trade it in for more than $5...
I joined the Angel/Cordelia angst list today, and inflicted the first part of Deja Vu on its unsuspecting members. I'm thinking of responding to one of the challenges too, if I can manage to write something that's less than 20,000 words. Otherwise it'll be six months before I post and the challenge will be well and truly over.

Date: 2003-06-18 08:51 pm (UTC)I wish someone would issue a Season 1 challenge. I'm dying to write something, but haven't the slightest push from my muse. I want to see if I can write something other than um, dirty/surreal stuff. I want to write something firmly grounded in reality.
Maybe I'll just steal
I *so* feel your pain regarding your hubby's car. It took them almost a month to have Jeremy's engine ready. I had to impose on a friend for a ride to work everyday. It was way out of her way, but she never complained. I still can't thank her enough.
Oh, and thank you so much for your patience with the quirks of Cafe' Interlunium and thank you for sharing your wonderful stories with us. :)

Date: 2003-06-18 10:00 pm (UTC)Still having issues posting at the Cafe'. I tried to reply to a comment this morning and it did the "empty field" thing. I might try through a different browser. There is no way I am giving up :0)
