Bridget made it through the night. I got up at 6am to check on her. Still alive, but cold as an iceblock, and her back end had seized up. So I took her back to bed with me, to keep her warm. She's tucked in the front of my dressing gown at the moment. As soon as the vet is open, I'll take her there and let her go peacefully. At the weekend, I'll take her to the Garden of Rembrance and bury her with all my other ratties who have passed on.

Date: 2004-05-19 01:23 pm (UTC)Yes, she was a little scamp, that's for sure. And she's had a happy and healthy life, apart from the last week. A lot of pets don't even get that, so I am thankful.
I went through this seven times last year. You think it'll get easier, but it never does.
