Saw the final of Friends last night. No surprises, thanks to the stupid news broadcast spoiling it for me on the day it ended in the States. I didn't cry.

Of course, it didn't help that my father walked in 5 minutes before the end, having not watched the entire season, and started bombarding us with questions about what was going on while we were trying to watch. I hate it when people do that!

Oh, and I found out yesterday that my cousin tried to commit suicide. That just sucks.

Damn, Claire! That *does* suck. I don't even know what to say. I feel bad for your cousin. What a lonely place he/she must have been in. And your aunt and uncle! Gosh, I can't imagine what they must be going through.

Thanks, sweetie. I don't know what to say myself. Luckily she didn't take enough pills to kill her, but I think the attempt was serious. She didn't turn up at work and thank God they called her mother, who found her deeply unconsious. The ambulance had to shock her awake. She lives alone, so it could have been nasty if she hadn't done it on the morning of a work day. As it is, she did no actual damage to herself. We've invited her to come stay with us in New Zealand for a while. A change of scenery might do her good. Right now she's at home with her parents, and going to councelling. I hope it helps. It makes me sad to think that she got that low in the first place. She's such a lovely girl, I'm closest to her out of all my cousins, even though we live far apart.
