Things I Learned Today

On the bright side, my dear friend LAndrews survived Hurricane Charley relatively unscathed. Hooray! And sincerest sympathies to those that lost property and possessions, or worse.
In sports news, the All Blacks got humped last night, so there goes the Tri-Nations trophy. I guess I'll have to support South Africa against the Wallabies next week, since I have family in Johannesburg. Also, if I support the Australians, I think my New Zealand citizenship would be revoked ;o) Our Olympians got off to quite a good start last night. SIGH. Every time it comes around, I declare I won't watch the Olympics, and every time I end up glued to something silly like Tiddlywinks heats at 2am. I have to admit to being a bit misty-eyed when I saw the NZ team marching at the opening ceremony. I'm such a sap!
