littleheavenHmmm. Today my boss spoke to Human Resources about me cutting my hours down, and it looks like it's a goer. So now I'll be working 11.30-6.00. Yay, my mornings will be free. No more struggling to fit fanfic into weekends filled with housework. As long as the finances don't get too tight, I think it will make me very happy. I wanted to get some of my life back for so long, and now I think I might have the chance to get the best of both worlds. Essentially 8 more hours a week of free time. With summer coming, I can have a leisurely breakfast on the deck (which I really need to waterblast the mould off of first!), putter in the garden, open all the windows and let the house air out, watch morning television, write, read, clean... I really hope this works out.
