Yeah, baby - the sequel
Nov. 28th, 2004 12:12 pmFor those of you following the sad saga of Stargate Season 5 and my missing DVD's, I am happy to report that DVD Soon have just emailed me to say they have accepted my replacement request have re-ordered them for me free of charge.
But guess what? Yep, out of stock AGAIN. They're down as a pre-order for Jan 11, which means that the distributor must be re-releasing them. So at least I know that they will actually be mailed on that date. Maybe they'll have some extra stuff on them, you never know.
So, after placing my order in August, I'll finally get them in January. To which I say YAY.
I'll get to watch the last half of the season before that, because Fatso (the NZ version of Netflix) will have replaced their missing discs by the end of next week, so I'm gonna hire them in the meantime.
And I know what happens in Meridian, so flist, be prepared with tissues and hugs. I'll need them *g*

Date: 2004-11-27 06:57 pm (UTC)Somehow, I think it's worse if you know. The second time I watched the final of Robin of Sherwood (the one where Michael Praed gets shish-kabobbed by about 100 arrows) I cried The. Whole. Way. Through. From the opening credits right to the closing credits, because I knew what was coming. But at least I wasn't emotionally traumatised like the first time I saw it! So, I guess - pro's and con's... *g*

Date: 2004-11-28 11:54 am (UTC)And even though I know what happens in Season 7, it still doesn't help. It's like when Buffy kills Angel in S2, and I cry like a baby even though he was only gone for a few eps. And in S5, when she sacrifices herself to save her sister, I literally sob every time I see it. And she was only gone for one ep. I'm such a sap!

Date: 2004-11-28 12:47 pm (UTC)That's how I define a good show, when it makes you care about the characters.
Hubby and I do the same thing, talk about the characters as if they were real. I don't think it's a worry. It's when you start following the real actors around and calling them by their character's name that you've got a problem LOL.
