Justin Langer kills seagulls! News at 10!
Nov. 29th, 2004 09:39 amI like cricket. The gentleman's game. Sedate. Polite. Non-contact.
So imagine my horror when two of Adelaide's seagulls were killed after being hit by a cut shot from Justin Langer. And at least one of them didn't die straight away - the cameraman got a shot of it rolling around, head flopping wildly, before cutting away when he realised it was actually quite disturbing.
Such a sad sight, two New Zealand fielders carrying the bodies to the edge of the field so play could continue.
At least, in their final moments, those birds gave their life stopping the shot from going for 4. Maybe they were New Zealand seagulls over there on holiday.
Scarred. For. Life.
