Thunder only happens when it's raining...
Dec. 18th, 2004 11:01 pmWe've been having a thunderstorm. I love thunderstorms. Gareth took me out stormwatching about half an hour ago. We drove to the top of the hill and watched the lightning. Then it started to hail pretty hard so we high-tailed it back home. But it was very exciting.
In other news, I've been scalped! Looks like my hairdresser has finally conquered her phobia of cutting hair really, really short. I have Annie Lennox hair. I like it *g*
Lastly, I went looking for new tops today, to go with my cool new jeans I bought during the week. I've lost quite a bit of weight, and since I was only 7 3/4 stone to start with, I could ill afford to drop the 10 or so pounds that I did. Now none of my pants fit, so I had to get new jeans. Then I decided I wanted some funky tops to go with them. Looked everywhere (yes, in the middle of a thousand other people trying to do Christmas shopping!). I finally ended up in Just Jeans. They had some beautiful tops, but they all swam on me, even the extra small. My shoulders looked like chicken wings. After six failures, I decided to leave in a huff. Via the children's section. And lo! There was the very top I'd been looking for. And cheap :o) It's a girls size 10, for God's sake! And I got another that was girls size 14. Oh well, at least I know that if I go out to a party or whatever, nobody else will be wearing the same top as me. Unless they bring their kids...
Oh, and Christmas shopping is all finished. I only had to buy one thing in a shop! Now I just have one more book to arrive by courier and everyone is taken care of. Yay!
