Sick, sick, sick, sick. Sick.
Dec. 26th, 2004 12:22 pmBlech.
I have the cold from hell. The sore throat is gone (yay) and I no longer feel like I have an elephant standing on my larynx, but now there is the coughing and the runny nose and the burning eyes... :pout:
At least it didn't really spoil my Christmas day, but it's not much fun being sick when you're on holiday :o( Neither has it spoiled my plans for today. Which were to lay around on the couch, drinking tea, reading, and watching NZ v Sri Lanka in the Boxing Day cricket match. I'll still do that, just with the addition of a box of tissues and some Vicks Vapo-Rub.
Also on the bright side, it's actually been fine enough for hubby to go to golf, for the first time in over a month. No sun, but no hail or thunder or gale force winds either.
Ack, now my ears are ringing. At times like this there is only one thing you can do. Resort to drugs. :guzzles ibuprofen:

Date: 2004-12-26 01:01 am (UTC)Sri Lanka are currently 86/5 in the 26th over, so I am smiling. I was somewhat heartened to see that Pakistan did worse than our guys in their last turn at bat *g*
I might take your lead and crawl back into bed. At least we have Sky in the bedroom!
Merry Day After Christmas to you too :O0

Date: 2004-12-26 01:54 am (UTC)I've been reading a few articles on the state of world cricket and I share the concerns! Bangladesh and Zimbabwe? Dear me. And poor South Africa. Those scandals from a few years ago really *did* knock them for six.

Date: 2004-12-26 02:22 am (UTC)Mmm, I think there should be a 2nd tier with teams like Zimbabwe, Bangladesh, Kenya, USA, Netherlands, etc so that the lower teams can experience some more even competition. It can't be good for them to just get thrashed all the time.
